What Sfinsta is

Sfinsta is a free, browser-based Instagram downloader. You paste the link of a public Instagram post, Reel, photo or Story, and Sfinsta returns the media so you can save it to your phone or computer — as an MP4 for video and a JPG for photos, in the quality the source provides, with no watermark added.

There is nothing to install and no account to create. Sfinsta never asks for your Instagram username or password, and it works in any modern browser on iPhone, Android, Windows, macOS and Linux.

How it works

  1. Open the post on Instagram, tap Share, and choose Copy link.
  2. Paste the link into the downloader on the homepage and press Download.
  3. Pick the result you want — a carousel post lists every photo and video separately — and save it.

Behind the scenes, Sfinsta sends the link you submit to a media-processing service, which returns the media files that are publicly available for that link. Sfinsta does not keep a library of downloaded media; every request is processed on demand. The Privacy Policy describes exactly what is processed and for how long.

What Sfinsta deliberately does not do

  • It does not access private accounts, Close Friends posts or expired Stories — and never will.
  • It does not ask for, store or use Instagram login credentials.
  • It does not add watermarks, re-encode media or artificially upscale quality.
  • It does not build a public archive of anyone's content.

These are design decisions, not missing features. A downloader that respects those lines is one you can rely on without worrying about your account or anyone else's privacy.

Who runs Sfinsta

Sfinsta is built and operated by a small independent team. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Instagram or Meta. The service is funded by advertising, which is why it can stay free without accounts or subscriptions. Use it responsibly

Download only content you own or have permission to save. A post being publicly visible does not transfer its copyright: the rights stay with the creator. Do not use Sfinsta to republish someone else's work, invade privacy or get around access controls.
